WILT THOU BE MADE WHOLE?
John 5:2-8

Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: (stirred up the water) whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever (1)disease he had.

(1) disease is sickness or it can be trouble, to agitate mentally or spiritually: to worry or disturb, mistreat or oppress.

5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.  6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that (1)case, he saith unto him, (2) Wilt thou be made whole?

(1) Case means condition
(2) Do you want to be healed, delivered, set free?
This is what Jesus asked the troubled man.

7   The (1) impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is (2) troubled, to put me into the pool: but (3) while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

(1) impotent is sick, hurt, wounded
(2) troubled is stirred up,  ~ moving of the water  ~
(3) fault finding & excuses

8, Jesus saith unto him, (a) Rise make a upward movement take up thy bed, and walk.

(a) Luke 5:24, But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.

9 And immediately the man was made (1) whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

(1) well, *healed, cured, at peace

*Heal is to restore to sound health (mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically)  The greek word for heal is Rahpa and it is pronounced, (Raw-faw) and it means to mend by stiching, to cure or cause to heal.  Thoroughly make whole.  The greek word diasozo, pronounced (dee-as-odze) is to save thoroughly, to rescue, bring safe (safe escape) heal...make perfectly whole.

Jehovah Rophe - The Lord Who Heals. Exodus 15:22-26 Jesus is our healer.  The hebrew word for healer is Chabash pronounced (Khaw-bash) and it means to wrap firmly (bind) to stop.  Bind is bandage, to make secure by tying, to confine, restrain or restrict.  To wrap around with something so as to enclose or fasten between (1)protective covers.  Wrap is to arrange or fold about in order to cover or protect something.  Hallelujah!

(1a) Exodus 33:2, And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

Psalm 18:2, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Song of Solomon 2:14, O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.

Isaiah 49:2, And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me;

Isaiah 5:16, And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.

(1b) Psalms 91:1 KJV He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Dwelleth is one that lives and walks with the Lord! Secret place of the most high, is an intimate place of divine protection! So if you are living and walking with the Lord, you are in a secret place.  Thank you Lord for healing me!
